Japanese Lessons For Children
Ikuko Odahara
I hold a teacher license for both elementary and junior high schools in Japan and taught for ten years as a national language teacher in Japanese junior high schools. After moving to the UK, I worked for a Japanese language school in London, teaching both Japanese heritage and non Japanese heritage children.

Japanese is one of the most difficult languages in the world.
What is the most important thing for children who want to learn the language? - I think it is to nurture their interest and curiosity about Japan and want to know’ about Japan and Japanese language until they reach an age where they can learn more and more on their own.
Children grow up and eventually choose their own path.
I believe our role is to guide them in order to find as many options as possible to get there.
We look forward to seeing you.
